  • Which bank card does OnePAY online payment gateway accept?
  • Online payment gateway accepts:

    International cards: VISA, MasterCard, Amex, JCB

    Domestic ATM debit cards: Vietcombank, Vietinbank, DongA , VIBank, Techcombank, HDBank, Tienphong Bank, Military Bank, VietA Bank, Maritime Bank, Eximbank, SHB, Sacombank, and NamA Bank.

  • When did OnePAY start providing online payment service?
  • Being pioneer in online payment, OnePAY have provided card settlement processing services since March 2007.
  • Can we open merchant accounts if we are not incorporated company?
  • Online payment service is not for individuals. OnePAY provides services for authorised companies or organizations doing business in Vietnam.
  • What documents are needed to register as merchants?
  • Application form

    A copy of Business license

    A copy of ID card or passport of the Legal Representative of company

    Other documents (if required)

    Signed online payment contract.

  • Can companies directly deal with banks or act as middleman?
  • OnePAY directly deals with banks to do procedures for opening online merchant accounts. Merchants must have an account at Vietcombank.
  • How much does a merchant account cost?
  • OnePAY collects fee for purposes:

    E-merchant account establishment: one time rendered fee including merchant account, security program registration, system installation and integration, training and support after integration.

    Monthly fee: to maintain merchant account.

    Transaction fee : Charge per transaction

    Commission fee: Charge per successful transaction

  • How long does the merchant account approval process take?
  • After signing the contract, VCB takes from 3 to 7 days to create the account depending on merchants’ access time.
  • Any Monthly/Yearly fees required?
  • Bank will collect a little amount to manage e-merchant account. This amount will be monthly calculated and collected with transaction fee.
  • Any Values added Tax [VAT] involved?
  • When receiving OnePAY’s payment request, there would be always a type of fee apart from VAT. We would note in price quotation if it includes tax.
  • Do you have any hidden fees for merchant accounts?
  • OnePAY’s price quotation includes 4 types of fee: payment gateway integration fee, monthly fee, transaction fee and commission fee. We would not collect any other fee except for these above ones. Different from other payment gateways, OnePAY does not collect chargeback fee, risk management fee and fraud prevention fee.
  • How many default currencies that we can choose for our merchant account?
  • We support 1 type of currencies for your merchant account: VND. But your clients can use any currency to pay you.
  • How many payment methods are available for my customers?
  • OnePAY solutions provides customers with many different payment methods. The simplest one is online payment through websites with OneCOM and OneORDER services. In some special cases, OnePAY also assists payment methods via email or telephone. Moreover, OnePAY provides automatic payment method called recurring transaction.
  • How long does it take to receive payment notification?
  • Whenever a transaction happens, whether successful or unsuccessful, OnePAY will immediately notice in the system. At the end of the day, OnePAY would send transaction information to acquirer bank and the bank would transfer the advance amount for successful transactions. Depending on your payment method, you might get money on the following day or after 15 days.
  • Holding period? How long will you hold the payment and how long will it take to receive it?
  • Depending on your payment method, you might get money on the following day or after 15 days. OnePAY will maintain a value per transaction in 6 months for risk guarantee.
  • What is chargeback? When does it happen?
  • Chargeback happens when cardholders complained with the acquirer bank about their spending money. The normal reasons that often cause a chargeback transaction are cardholders could not do transaction; goods or services were not delivered like descriptions on websites; etc. When it happens, the issuing bank would require merchants to issue invoices for solving chargeback with the acquirer bank.
  • What do I have to do in chargeback?
  • Merchants have to present the bills or invoices to prove their goods or service providing. They should post the conditions of service providing on their websites in order to prevent risks of chargeback. If necessary, OnePAY would consult merchants about the process of managing risks and the procedures of doing chargeback from the acquirer bank.
  • What are your charge back fees? How many percent can be accepted?
  • OnePAY and VCB do not collect this fee. Merchants only have to show their bill/invoice and co-ordinate with VCB to solve these problems.
  • Cancel /refund policies? Any fixed charges for refund/cancel?
  • According to OnePAY’s solution and Vietcombank’s policy, transaction cancel and refund must follow the merchants’ policies. OnePAY does not collect this fee. With the policy of transaction cancel and refund, merchants must follow the regulations of the international card organization. The refund process must be done through OnePAY’s system, not paid by cash.
  • How is the integration working on our website?
  • OnePAY will integrate a module into the merchants’ website. This module has a task of transferring payment requests to OnePAY’s website. When customers log in OnePAY’s website, they will do the payment process for their bill/invoice.
  • How many days required for the system integration?
  • The system integration normally happens in a few days. This process can be completed sooner if the merchants’ designing technicians are ready.
  • What Type of Fraud Protection Do You Offer?
  • OnePAY applied the solution of Aristion fraud management provided by MasterCard. With this technology, merchants also can make their own law of preventing fraud. In addition, OnePAY has organized fraud management, coordinated tightly with merchants to build up and do the process of risk management in the organization.
